Summary:
The Long-Tailed Tit is a small bird with a very long black tail. They have a tiny dark bill and white face and underparts. Above the eye is a broad black stripe, looking a little like a thick eyebrow. The wings have a pinkish bar and white edges to the otherwise black feathers.
Ecology:
Long-Tailed Tits build intracite domed shaped nests in trees. They prefer their native woodland home to gardens, and feed on seeds, insects and spiders.
Habitat:
Wooldand, heath.
Distribution:
Throughout the British Isles, less so in N and NW areas.
